Sometimes the best way to learn is to put yourself to the test. This week, our group handyman and home remodeling expert Scott Doree of Andor Maintenance Solutions reminded us just how fun that can be, when done correctly.
No stranger to doing things correctly, Scott used his presentation time to share a Jeopardy-style trivia challenge he had put together about all things home improvement. Split into teams, we competed for points in the categories of Windows & Siding, Wall Framing, Roofs, Building Materials, and Plumbing, answering from $100–$400 clues for each. The friendly competition sparked teamwork, laughs, teachable moments about home building—and a great time for the entire group.
Though only a game, today’s session reflected qualities that define much of Scott’s work—acute preparation, attention to detail, honesty, deep trade knowledge, and a genuine love for problem-solving.
