More Than Just a Pretty Place

When investing in paint care for your home, what are the most important factors to consider? From sun exposure, humidity and moisture, human traffic and exposure, to preparation and quality control, job longevity, cost—and of course design preferences and finish look—there is much to think about.

As these factors also change on a per-job basis, the best shortcut is to find a contractor-partner with the experience of hundreds of jobs and the trust of as many clients to help guide you to the best result. Today’s presenter, Arty Saffian of MacFarland Painting, provides homeowners and building managers with exactly that.

Since bringing his own busy-but-difficult-to-staff painting business into their fold in 2022, Arty has brought the expertise of his construction management education background and his all-around knowledge as a paint contractor into an estimating role with MacFarland, covering much of Washtenaw County for them for the last couple of years.

In business less than two decades themselves, MacFarland itself now has 80+ W-2 employees, priding themselves on employing all of their painters (as opposed to subcontracting), and operates across Washtenaw and Wayne Counties out of an office and showroom building that it owns in Livonia with 40,000+ square feet. After seeing a Livonia TV segment done on the business that Arty showed, it’s clear to see that it’s grown by doing solid work, having a true eye for appealing & clean finishes, and having a strong culture built on good systems and steady improvement.

In addition to common interior and exterior wall projects, MacFarland also paints cabinets, handrails, murals—and will do finish carpentry work or deck treatments and power washing too.

Connect with Arty today to schedule an estimate for your next project. Also visit us next week to connect with local professionals and hear more great presentations like Arty’s, and become a member to eventually deliver one of your own!
