This week our group President and designated Financial Planner Matt Bowden presented three brief but moving stories about how access to strong planning—or lack-thereof—can change the trajectory of one’s life as well as all the people they care for.
Matt’s first story was his own origin—a major injury in his family set them back financially to the point that he had to work to help support the house at an age where most of us are still learning long division.
Like many who endure various hardships—Matt’s thankful for the lessons he learned and how it helped shape who he is. But unlike some who succumb to the feeling that others should endure hardships as they have—Matt DOESN’T want anyone else to endure that trial by fire that did shape his childhood and created a lot of pain with it.
Originally aiming to be a Mechanical Engineer, Matt pivoted to Financial Planning as a young adult upon realizing he could directly help people to avoid situations like those in his painful past, as well as put hard-working families and entrepreneurs on pathways to abundance.
