When Medical Insurance isn’t Enough

by | Apr 5, 2023 | Member Spotlights | 0 comments

Medical coverage is great. A great start, at least. Most health insurance plans prevent against the greatest threat to the financial security of otherwise responsible people—astronomical surprise medical bills on the order of 5 to 7 figures.

But what about insured families with a modest-to-comfortable—and fully-committed—budget? What about the first $5,000-$10,000 or more annually that needs to come unexpectedly out of pocket in some plans before benefits kick in? What about earnings lost or extra costs incurred from short emergencies or hospital stays?

For many families, these aren’t trivial expenses to bear. They can do everything from setting back a retirement savings plan to forcing a household to take on bad debt.

With these insurance shortcomings highlighted, our Featured Presenting Member, Morgann Dehn of John Avery State Farm, today presented the value of supplemental insurance plans.

Morgann’s team offers two different levels of this deductible and earnings payment protection:

  • Supplemental Health Plan
  • Supplemental Health Plus Plan

For full details or a quote, connect with Morgann and her team. Without disclosing specific amounts, some impressive benefits that both provide include and certainly aren’t limited to:

  • A 4-figure lump sum for short hospital stays.
  • A daily confined hospital stay benefit.
  • An additional daily benefit for ICU stays
  • All benefits paid in directly TO beneficiary, not to providers.
  • Most premiums (depending on age and health risk factors) total in the low-hundreds per year per beneficiary.

In addition to these benefits, the Supplemental Health Plus Plan pays benefits for emergency care, outpatient surgeries, extended care, and ambulance transportation—for only a marginally-greater price over its counterpart.

Morgann’s team’s supplemental insurance plans vary in price by age and other health risk factors, but are consistent in providing great value toward the peace of mind of being protected against disruptive medical expenses. Speak with Morgann to get started with one today.
